Dick is an “av” rated lawyer who practices primarily in the areas of real estate, local government, estate planning, probate and business planning. He also serves as Examiner of Titles for Cook County, Minnesota, and represents the Grand Marais/Cook County Joint Economic Development Authority. Dick has been practicing law in Grand Marais since 1973, after a sabbatical year with his family in a cabin he built near the Canadian border. He provides over 40 years of experience to his clients. His early years of practice in the area were spent commuting by canoe across McFarland Lake, hauling water and wood at a Hovland homestead, and serving as Cook County Attorney from 1974 to 1986.
